Pouch Sling Wearing Instructions
As the old saying goes, practice makes perfect. And this definitely applies to slinging your baby, we can’t stress that enough! The more you practice the better you & your little one will get at being slung.

Wearing Instructions

1. How to put your Tru Luv Baby Wear™ Pouch Sling on

  • Your sling comes to you ready to use. Just take it out of the bag, put your arm through the opening, up over your head and place the corner of the sling on your shoulder (similar to a sash).

2. Cradle Carry (Newborn)

  • With sling on (seam should be lined up with your belly button), hold your baby in a seated position.
  • Open up pouch, while keeping a firm grip on baby; begin to lower baby into the pouch.
  • Tuck in baby's legs and pull open pouch enough for baby's head to rest comfortably against your chest.
  • Pull fabric up on each side to ensure baby is perfectly snug.
  • NOW ENJOY!

3. Belly to Belly (Newborn to 6 months)

  • Hold baby's feet together with one hand and open the pouch with the other.
  • Lower baby into pouch with their feet tucked in our out.
  • Adjust sling to support their back and ENJOY!

4. Kangaroo Carry (3-9 months)

  • Hold baby with their backs towards you.
  • Place baby into the sling Indian style or with their legs to the side.
  • Adjust the fabric around him and make sure his legs are comfortably placed in the pouch.
  • ENJOY!

5. Hip Carry (5 months-toddlers)

  • Place baby high on your shoulder (the unslung side).
  • Tuck baby's legs into the sling by moving the fabric over them.
  • Lower baby onto your hip and make sure that the seam is lined up along their back.
  • Pull inside layer of fabric down around their bum, this ensures a deep seat.
  • Pull fabric up along their back for added support.
  • You're ready to go!

Safety Tips

  • Always remember when practicing you should have one hand placed on baby at all times.
  • When bending be sure to bend at the knees, while keeping a secure hand on your baby.
  • Use caution when going through doorways or tight spots to ensure baby's head & body are protected.
  • Do not use while cooking or working with sharp objects.
  • And remember above all else, use common sense; it's your baby in there!

Responsibility for use with the sling and baby are that of the person using the sling and not Tru Luv Baby Wear™.
